The Texas Property Tax Code sets the deadline to appeal/protest your valuation as May 31st or 30 days after the Notice of Appraised Value has been issued, whichever is later. However, some appraisal districts put an earlier deadline date on their notices. This does not change your right to file your appeal at the date set by the Tax Code. If you have missed the deadline date on your Notice, you can still appeal/protest as long as it is before May 31st.
